What are cannabinoid acids?
Cannabinoid acids (CBGa, CBDA, THCVA, CBCA and the rest) are the carboxylated species the plant actually synthesises. Decarboxylation, mostly by heat but also by light and time, removes CO₂ and yields the neutral cannabinoids sold as CBG, CBD, THC and CBC. The acids are less stable than the neutrals and are stored cold.
Origin
If you need the acid, say so on the inquiry. A heated process may leave you with the neutral by the end.
Established
- The acid → neutral map.
- Thermal sensitivity.
Not yet
- Ambient shelf stability for CBGa.
