THCV vs THC: what’s the difference?
THCV (C19H26O2) is the propyl homolog of Δ9-THC (C21H30O2): the same tetrahydrocannabinol skeleton with a three-carbon side chain instead of five. It is not made by shortening THC. The plant runs a parallel varin line from CBGVA through THCVA to THCV, and nothing converts Δ9-THC into it. In laboratory work the two behave differently at CB1, and some jurisdictions regulate them differently.

Will THCV get you high like THC?
