What is the mother cannabinoid?
‘Mother cannabinoid’ refers to CBGa, the shared acid precursor. THCA, CBDA and CBCA synthases compete for CBGa. Neutral CBG is leftover parent after heat removes CO₂. The nickname is about the acid, not about CBG turning into other cannabinoids on a shelf.
Origin
The term comes from the Atlas monograph. Peregrine sells both CBGa isolate and CBG isolate, so specify which species you need.
