CBDV (cannabidivarin) is the propyl homolog of CBD: three carbons on the side chain instead of five, formula C19H26O2, CAS 24274-48-4. It sits on the varin line, which the plant runs in parallel to the pentyl CBD route from a different starting acid, CBGVA. It is not a degradation product of CBD.

How we sell
01
Tell us the compound, the mass, and the destination, and give us a work email. We don’t publish prices because they depend on the lot.
02
A person replies within one business day with the available lot, lead time, and price.
03
You confirm the mass and destination on a purchase order. There is no consumer checkout.
04
The pack ships with the COA covering identity and assay if you asked for it. An SDS is available on request.

Buying guide
Bulk CBDV isolate is cannabidivarin (CAS 24274-48-4, C19H26O2), the propyl analogue of CBD, at ≥99.9% as a white to pale crystalline solid. Peregrine supplies it for method development, reference libraries and minor-cannabinoid blends from 5 g research cuts upward; lead times track varin biomass campaigns. A per-lot COA and SDS on request ship with the material, and quotes return in one business day.
Analytical labs use CBDV isolate as a reference and as a marker when validating methods that must separate propyl from pentyl cannabinoids — CBDV and CBD are close in retention on many columns. Formulators use it in minor-cannabinoid blends where the brief names the varin. It is non-intoxicating chemistry and sold strictly as an ingredient.
CBDVa is produced by the plant from CBGVa, the propyl analogue of CBGa, in chemovars that express the varin pathway. Production follows extraction, decarboxylation and chromatographic separation from CBD, then crystallisation. Because varin biomass is scarce, campaigns are smaller and lead times longer than for CBG or CBD.
Identity and assay for the named cannabinoid, at minimum. Identity is HPLC against a qualified reference standard; when a primary standard is on allocation, Peregrine discloses NMR or LC-MS identity on the COA rather than implying HPLC. Assay is reported as percent w/w of CBDV, and a lot is listed as Available only after both clear.
Residual-solvent (ICH Q3C classes as applicable to the process), heavy-metal and pesticide panels ship with the lot pack when you request them on the inquiry. Appearance, water activity, storage condition and origin are lot-specific and printed on the COA, not on this page. Check that the method resolves CBDV from CBD; the two co-elute on some systems.
Ambient, dry and dark unless the COA says otherwise. It behaves like CBD in lipid and ethanol solubility and is practically insoluble in water.
Pick a mass on this page, add the destination jurisdiction, and send the inquiry. A person answers with a quote in one business day. For CBDV isolate, 5 g is quoted today; every larger mass stays Coming Soon until a campaign is scheduled and the lot clears release.
Every mass tier shows one of three states: Available (identity and assay have cleared), Contact for pricing (a human quotes the campaign), or Coming Soon (we cannot take the order until the lot exists). Incoterms, carrier and pickup window are on the quote. For multi-product requests use the procurement form on /quote.
Compare: CBDV vs CBD · What are varin cannabinoids · What did CBDV trials test · How to read a COA · Storage
No. CBDV has a three-carbon (propyl) side chain and formula C19H26O2; CBD is the five-carbon pentyl analogue, C21H30O2.
≥99.9% cannabidivarin on the lot COA.
Varin cannabinoids are low-abundance in most hemp; production is tied to biomass campaigns.
Many labs do. Identity and assay are on the COA; it is not certified as a primary reference standard.
5 g research cut.
They share the cannabidiol core, but CBDV has a shorter side chain and is a different molecule. Do not assume that CBD literature transfers to it.
