Water-dispersible CBN (CBN-WD) is CBN pre-dispersed onto a carrier and spray-dried into a powder that disperses in water. Its assay is 10–20% CBN by weight, not 99.9% isolate, so the formulation math is different. Use it when the process needs a powder that disperses in water, not when the specification calls for crystalline CBN.

How we sell
01
Tell us the compound, the mass, and the destination, and give us a work email. We don’t publish prices because they depend on the lot.
02
A person replies within one business day with the available lot, lead time, and price.
03
You confirm the mass and destination on a purchase order. There is no consumer checkout.
04
The pack ships with the COA covering identity and assay if you asked for it. An SDS is available on request.

Assay is on a w/w CBN basis, not 98% isolate. Ask for reconstitution protocol and particle-size range before scale-up. Not a finished consumer product.

Buying guide
Water-dispersible CBN powder (CBN-WD) is cannabinol carried on a food-grade matrix and spray-dried into a free-flowing powder that disperses in water. Assay is reported as CBN-in-powder by weight — typically 10–20% w/w — never as isolate purity. Peregrine supplies it for beverage, gummy and powder-blend R&D from 5 g to campaign volumes, with the carrier system disclosed on the current lot's technical sheet and a COA per lot. It is an ingredient, not a finished consumer product.
Cannabinoids are practically insoluble in water. A dispersible powder does not dissolve CBN; it pre-disperses it into fine droplets or particles on a carrier so that, when the powder is stirred into water, the CBN stays evenly distributed long enough to fill, gel or dry. Vendors often say water-soluble; the honest term for the physics is dispersible, and that is the word Peregrine uses.
Dispersion rate, droplet or particle size, and how long the dispersion stays uniform are lot and process properties. Ask for the reconstitution protocol and particle-size range before scale-up.
As grams of CBN per 100 g of powder. A 15% w/w lot delivers 150 mg CBN per gram of powder; the rest is carrier. Formulate from the assayed value on the lot you received, not from a nominal target, and re-check the number if you switch lots mid-campaign.
Identity of the cannabinoid is confirmed the same way as for the isolate — HPLC against a qualified reference, or disclosed NMR/LC-MS when a primary standard is on allocation.
Sealed, cool and dry. Spray-dried powders take up water from the air, which changes flow, dispersion behaviour and effective assay. Reseal immediately after weighing and keep the bulk container out of humid process areas.
Beverage concentrates and ready-to-drink formats, drink-mix stick packs, gummies and confectionery made on a water-based line, and powder blends. Where a lipid or ethanol phase is available, the crystalline isolate is usually the simpler and cheaper route.
Pick a mass on this page, add the destination jurisdiction, and send the inquiry. A person answers with a quote in one business day. Today every CBN-WD mass tier is Coming Soon: production is campaign-based and a tier opens only after the lot clears identity and assay. Send the inquiry anyway — it is how you are told when the campaign is scheduled, and the 5 g research cut is the first tier to open. Masses are quoted against the current lot's technical sheet.
Every mass tier shows one of three states: Available (identity and assay have cleared), Contact for pricing (a human quotes the campaign), or Coming Soon (we cannot take the order until the lot exists). Incoterms, carrier and pickup window are on the quote. For multi-product requests use the procurement form on /quote.
Compare: What is water-dispersible CBN · CBN isolate vs water-dispersible CBN powder · What is CBN · How to read a COA · Storage
No. CBN-WD is a 10–20% w/w CBN powder on a carrier. CBN isolate is ≥99.9% crystalline cannabinol. They are separate SKUs with different assay language.
The carrier system is disclosed on the technical sheet for the current lot. Request it with the COA before formulating.
Multiply the powder mass by the lot's w/w assay. At 15% w/w, 1 g of powder carries 150 mg CBN. Peregrine does not recommend serving sizes.
The 5 g research cut is the first tier to open for each campaign and ships with a lot COA reporting CBN-in-powder. Send an inquiry to be notified.
No. It is an ingredient for R&D and manufacturing, not for retail sale as supplied.
No. It is a dry powder. The 5 g research set contains crystalline isolates, not this powder.
